What is Dynamic Routing?

Routing is a vital communication mechanism that governs how data packets travel from source to destination.   • Reduced Operational Costs: Vehicle maintenance, fuel costs, and paying drivers are some of the most important entries in a company’s budget. A dynamic routing platform performs various tasks including printing out reports or displaying them on an easy-to-access dashboard. This permits operation managers, fleet managers, and even delivery drivers to review their on-road performance.

The difference between Static and Dynamic Routing

The main difference between dynamic and static routing software is the type of data that is used to plan routes. Dynamic routing software uses real-time data, while static routing software uses fixed data. This means that dynamic routing software can take into account things like traffic or weather, while static routing software cannot.

Another difference is that dynamic routing software is often used for last-minute changes, while static routing software is often used for predictable schedules. Conclusion

Dynamic routing is easy to configure on large networks and is more intuitive at selecting the best route, detecting route changes, and discovering remote networks. However, because routers share updates, they consume more bandwidth than in static routing; the routers’ CPUs and RAM may also face additional loads as a result of routing protocols. Finally, dynamic routing is less secure than static routing.
